Has it really been a month since I've blogged?
I wish that wasn't so, but life has been absolutely nuts...I don't even have time to grocery shop (just ask Bart, he will confirm it).
But ever since I've been back to work my days have consisted of the following:
- Wake up
- Wake Jack up to eat (he would sleep for 14 hours if I'd let him...sorry son, you've gotta eat.)
- Get ready for work
- Go to work
- Pick up Jack from my mother or sister's house
- Go home
- Figure out what's for dinner
- Eat
- Feed Jack
- Put Jack to bed
And then, after all of that is said and done, it's 9:00 at night and I'm pooped. How in the world am I supposed to go grocery shopping, pay bills, clean the apartment, prepare a lesson, and have me-time with only one hour in my day left.
All you working moms out there, how do you do it??
PLEASE, tell me your secret...I beg you.
How do we do it??? Mostly we don't.. our floors are dirty, our laundry is always piled up and our fridge is empty. The only thing that saves my sanity is the crockpot, meal planning every Saturday and no longer worrying about that list that only seems to grow. I do what I can and for now that is good enough. So my dear.... cut yourself some slack and just enjoy the minutes that you get to spend with your adorable little guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Amy. I've let a lot of things slip already...and I'm only working three days a week! But I'd much rather enjoy the time I have with Dylan before and after work than worry about other things that need to get done and then I ask Shane to take him for a while on Saturday so I can knock a few things off my list. Just be glad you have an all-night sleeper. Working and getting everything done is MUCH harder when you're only getting 4-5 hours of fragmented sleep thanks to night wakings :)
